Your profile is a vector, not a keyword list

Your skills, proficiency, and years of experience map to 20 role clusters (consulting, engineering, data/ML, design, ops, finance, and more). Proficiency-weighted. Recency-weighted.

Cluster cosine similarity filters everything

Every job is scored against your cluster vector. Roles in the wrong cluster are capped — even if 5 keywords overlap, a mismatched role can't rank above 35%.

We respect where you're going, not just where you've been

Declare a target role in your profile preferences, and we blend it into your cluster vector. Career pivots work — 6 years of Python doesn't force you to see only Python jobs forever.

Why we work with recruiters.

Tevos earns revenue from recruiters who use the platform to find verified talent. We are transparent about this. Recruiter adoption is evidence that the score works — if recruiters pay to find candidates through Tevos, it means the ranking is credible enough to act on. We built Tevos for candidates first. Recruiters use it because we did.

The commercial relationship makes the score more valuable to you, not less. Recruiters cannot change your score. They cannot pay to appear in your feed. They see the same verified ranking you do.

The math, not the marketing.

Tevos runs on the engine — our Semantic Match & Heuristic engine. It reads the job description, extracts skills using a 340-keyword vocab spanning 20 role clusters, builds a cluster vector, and gates the score through cosine similarity.

Beginner-level skills contribute 0.4× of expert skills to the vector. Years past 5 diminish (√years). Generic buzzwords like "agile" or "stakeholder management" — which appear in consulting, engineering, and ops JDs alike — can't alone push a cross-cluster match above 35%.

The result: a management consultant never sees a pure Python Developer job in their top 10, and a backend engineer never sees a Marketing Manager role, even though "agile" and "communication" appear in both.
