Job Overview
Executes defined sourcing and procurement activities while contributing to cost optimization, supplier performance improvement, and risk mitigation initiatives. Applies data-driven analysis to support sourcing decisions and category strategies.
Job Requirements
- Implement sourcing strategy for responsible commodities, identify savings and risk opportunities, drive material productivity.
- Select, Qualify and Manage suppliers to build solid supplier base per strategy.
- NPI/Migration projects support with right source (quality, cost, service) for business grow needs from kickoff to mass production.
- Supporting sourcing initiatives by preparing RFQs, analyzing bids, and documenting sourcing related contracts or agreements.
- Drive VAVE Projects cross functionally.
- Drive material localization efforts to achieve cost reduction and delivery service flexibility.
- Supplier quality improvement together with SQE to achieve DLPM target.
- Collaborating with supply chain and operations to support continuity of supply.
- Mainly responsible for procurement activities of Medical Suzhou/Japan business, also support other medical sites globally.
- Any other work assigned by manager.
What your background should look like
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably engineering background with mechanical or Electronic.
- >8 years procurement experience or related functions, manufacturing environment is a plus, medical industry related preferred.
- Fluent in Japanese is a must, English communication is an advantage.
